Junto a los especialistas, el Lic. Patricio A. Marshall y la Dra. Alejandra Dalenz Farjat, usted alcanzará a comprender la importancia del análisis de las cuencas sedimentarias y logrará identificar los elementos constitutivos de un sistema petrolero. Le proponemos considerar algunos elementos clave que intervienen en el análisis de las cuencas sedimentarias orientados al modelado de sistemas petroleros.

Este curso se fundamenta en una base sólida de actualización de conocimientos acerca de: geodinámica, tectónica y clasificación de cuencas, lo que le permitirá analizar los procesos determinantes que sufren las cuencas en su historia petrolera, tales como el soterramiento o subsidencia y su historia térmica.

Haremos un breve recorrido por las características de la materia orgánica, sus transformaciones y la migración y acumulación de hidrocarburos.

Nuestra propuesta incluye un enfoque acerca de los sistemas No Convencionales, geotermia y almacenamiento de gas y CCS (Captura y almacenamiento de CO2) útiles en estos tiempos de transición energética.

Los distintos temas que serán recorridos en el presente curso surgen de la experiencia profesional de ambos instructores y de una amplia revisión bibliográfica actualizada incorporando lo último en herramientas de análisis disponibles.

Consideramos que a partir de este curso usted logrará desarrollar un criterio de evaluación propio, habilitándolo a seleccionar las opciones adecuadas que ofrecen los diferentes softwares de modelado de generación de hidrocarburos disponibles en la industria.

¿A quién va dirigido este curso de análisis y modelado de cuencas?

Este curso está dirigido a geólogos desde exploradores a geólogos junior, geofísicos intérpretes e ingenieros que producen datos tanto en subsuelo como en el análisis de técnicas de laboratorio, profesionales en general que requieren comprender la historia petrolera de la cuenca que están estudiando o que les interesaría profundizar.

Igualmente está dirigido a jóvenes profesionales, doctorandos, o aquellos que preparan una tesis de licenciatura, master o de post-doctorado, donde requieran integrar un abanico de disciplinas que hacen al sistema petrolero de una cuenca.

¿Qué habilidades / destrezas se busca que los participantes adquieran en el curso?

  • Comprender que una cuenca es un sistema multivariable en el tiempo y en el espacio y que su comprensión en exploración requiere de alimentar el razonamiento con variables de diferentes disciplinas.
  • Identificar los datos indispensables en el análisis de cuencas, para llegar a modelar sistemas petroleros, familiarizándose con los requerimientos de las variables de un modelado.
  • Incorporar metodologías probadas en diferentes cuencas, en sus trabajos cotidianos, conscientes de los alcances e incertidumbres que cada herramienta proporciona.
  • Aplicar los diversos conceptos del curso en una determinada cuenca, a elección del participante, a modo de práctica.

Los temas propuestos son los siguientes:

  1. Cuencas. Orígenes, tipos, clasificaciones (El Ser o no Ser de una Cuenca).
  2. Análisis de la subsidencia. Mecanismos, análisis, subsidencias térmica y tectónica. Cambios en los sedimentos.
  3. Historia térmica de una cuenca.
  4. Elementos del sistema petrolero.
  5. Dinámica del sistema petrolero activo. Funcionamiento del Sistema Petrolero. Generación y migración. Acumulación o fuga. Presiones de los fluidos.
  6. Técnicas analíticas que ayudan la caracterización y control de las variables en las unidades 1, 2, 3 y 5 (vitrinita, geotermocronología, circones, apatitas, inclusiones fluidas, Raman).
  7. Casos especiales: reservorios No Convencionales y nuevos enfoques en el análisis de cuencas (Geotermia, almacenamiento de gas y CCS).
  8. Modelados de generación de hidrocarburos. Softwares disponibles. ¿Cómo debemos pensar?

 

Docentes a cargo

Los dos profesionales que han diseñado esta propuesta de formación a distancia provienen de ámbitos distintos, el Lic. Patricio Marshall ha hecho un recorrido amplísimo en la exploración de la faja plegada de los Andes Centrales, la multiplicidad de sistemas petroleros de la Cuenca Neuquina, la Plataforma continental en el offshore argentino, Golfo de México, Caribe, Norte de África, y otras cuencas, desde compañías operadoras y estudios de consultorías.

La Dra. Alejandra Dalenz Farjat proviene de la bioestratigrafía, muy centrada en el sistema petrolero paleozoico de la faja plegada de los Andes Centrales. Los recorridos en los diferentes ámbitos del sistema petrolero les permiten ofrecer un curso diverso, con miradas más amplias, posiblemente desde el lugar del geólogo explorador que recorre las dificultades de cada tipo de cuenca.

Modalidad: Capacitación Virtual

Usted accederá a la plataforma de e-learning en la cual podrá monitorear sus aprendizajes, respondiendo a su propio ritmo de estudio y con total flexibilidad de horarios.

Al inicio de cada semana el docente publicará nuevos materiales de estudio, actividades planificadas y variedad de tutoriales en formato de videos.

Podrá participar de los foros de discusión asincrónicos donde consultará sus dudas e inquietudes, las cuales serán respondidas por los docentes.

Cada semana tendrá nuevos desafíos en forma de autoevaluaciones, como el acceso a videos explicativos y podcast orientadores de los temas centrales. También contará con actividades opcionales que hemos planificado a modo de horizonte ampliado. Siempre contará con orientación bibliográfica. Planteamos varias actividades a modo de laboratorio remoto, tales como ejemplos, ejercicios, talleres, que hacen de nexo entre unidades, de tal manera que usted tendrá una percepción de continuidad en el desarrollo del curso.

Los talleres de actividades y los laboratorios remotos que se le proponen a lo largo del curso serán evaluados por los docentes del curso.

Al inicio del curso, usted podrá elegir una cuenca entre algunas que se le propondrán, la cual será estudiada por usted a lo largo del curso. Cada semana se habilitarán las preguntas orientadas a cada cuenca, sobre los temas tratados en las unidades correspondientes de esa semana. Al finalizar el curso habrá estudiado una cuenca en todos sus elementos y será por tanto evaluado.

 

Al inicio y al cierre de cada semana se organizan encuentros virtuales sincrónicos y exclusivos para el curso, donde los docentes revisan los temas trabajados durante la semana y responderán sus consultas en tiempo real. Dichos encuentros son grabados para poder luego acceder a los mismos, si es que usted no llegará a poder participar en ellos.

El curso tiene una extensión total de cuatro semanas y cuenta con certificación al aprobar el trabajo final por un total de sesenta horas de cursada.
